Across the Atlantic Ocean, Tony Blair watched the spectacle of his close aide and minister David Blunkett resign on ‘ethical’ grounds. The real embarrassment came when the British parliament defeated a coveted bill of Blair to strengthen anti-terror laws in the country. There is little doubt that Blair’s charisma is not working as before and that his days as Prime Minister might just be numbered.
